Thanks to Mrs. Leo, Ms. Giles and Mr. Treadway for organizing the “Middle School Reading Night”.

Here is Mrs. Leo’s report:

On Friday, 23rd October, ISM hosted another of its popular Reading Nights for grades 6-8. This time the thematic focus was on legends around the river Rhein. As with previous reading nights, students were introduced to stories and poems in English and in German, respectively, including, for example, the famous German poem ‘Loreley’ by Heinrich Heine. The English versions were taken from the 1915 edition of “Hero Tales and Legends of the Rhine” by Lewis Spence. After acting out several stories themselves and solving an exciting and fun murder mystery, the agenda ended with individual book presentations.

The next Reading Night is already scheduled for spring 2016.
