ISM High School students took a field trip to Cummins, the Fortune 500 engine company, in Marktheidenfeld. Our science teacher, Ms. Padma, organized the trip to offer the students the chance to gain insight into the work in a laboratory.
The students learned how an electron microscope works and were able to examine various samples: an earring, hair, skin particles, a coin and a ring. They also learned how a micro hardness tester works and analyzed the hardness of aluminum and stainless steel.
We would like to thank Mr. Branco, an ISM parent, to give us the opportunity to make this valuable learning experience.
